*internally dying of cuteness overdose intensifies* 😍😍😍😍😍
We were there a month earlier. Probably the same mother with three cubs. Watch our video.
Ahh, BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA!
Really really want to do this tour
The bears need goggles
Классные мишутки! Мамочка героиня, четыре медвежонка, сама худенькая, видно что ещё молодая! А ещё мамочка постарше с опытом с тремя медвежатами, мамочка справная такая! Дай бог хорошего им улова!
Duh bears
What an amazing video, thanks for sharing
Not every day you see a mother bear with 3 healty cubs, she must be clever.
you pretty much covered all the bases.
When you said amazing place you weren't kidding, WOW. I wish I was there to see that. I think that as a species, human are just starting to grow up when we can appreciate the absolutely wonderful animals that we SHARE our world with.
WHY IS HE PADDLING?
It's all about scent marking.
しっかり食べるんだよ。お腹いっぱいにね。
how do you get to this place?
We flew to Vancouver then took a flight to Campbell River. Knights Inlet Lodge will collect you from Campbell River by sea plane and fly you to their floating lodge which is about a 20 minute flight. www.grizzlytours.com

What month was this please?
This was the last week of August. Prefect timing for watching the bears catching the salmon.
THIS MOM SHE HAS 3 CHILDREN MASHALLAH MAY THE MOST HIGH GOD PROTECT THESE MAGNIFICENT BEARS FROM MAN. AND NOT HARM THE BOND OF PARENT AND BABY BEARS. THE BOND BETWEEN GRIZZLY BEARS AND THEIR OFFSPRING, THE MOTHERS LOVE FOR HER CUB IS MUCH GREATER BEYOND THE LOVE OF A HUMAN MOTHER FOR HER BABY. WE MUST RESPECT SO MAGNIFICENT A BEING.
Muhammed was a raping children, he was a murderer, and a bandit.

I could watch bears all day, they are so interesting/intelligent other wildlife too, amazing wilderness. Mother bears of three cubs work tirelessly to obtain enough food mostly fish/berries/grubs for herself and her cubs... I have so much respect for them.
Hahaha
A mother bear with that many Cubs is great and I'm always glad to see that they grow up and they're still with their mother that's a blessing there for her and them
Nice Patty. Look forward going out on bat survey together!
Let's hope for another good Nathusius year!
Wow, amazing to see!
Bats are MAGICAL creatures! :)
Great video Patty. What video & illuminator combination are you using?
Hi Patty, great video. Matt Dodds
Daubenton bats = rabies
I have a Sony HDR-SR10E which has O lux night shot. You don’t need Super night shot which doesn’t work for filming emerging bats in the dark. You ALSO need a separate Infra Red light source - preferably one which can diffuse the light. I have recently bought two IRLamp6 from Bat Conservation & Management in the States which are excellent but they are very expensive. This set up has not disturbed these bats as filming took place in total darkness.
Yes - the barn is used all year round. During the winter, the bats can be found spread around in different places. I have seen a small group of Daubenton's and Natterer's in this beam in December.
I'm correcting myself and my Latin! I meant Nyctalus lasiopterus Greater Noctule bat which is a bigger creature ! There was a theory at first that the bats swallowed the discarded (floating downwards) feathers of the migrating birds (being present in the faeces in undigested form---I hope I'm getting this right). Careful analysis was carried out and bird "meat" was identified (digested)
Nyctalus noctula is the bat I meant which I believe is fairly rare but lives in France West Germany Austria (and Southern Spain where flocks of migrating birds pass through!) It can be diurnal in the autumn. If you google the following "Bats eat flying birds, say scientists" .......you will find an interesting BBC article. Anyway I'm sure I'm telling you things you already know. (A great video)
Do you mean Greater Noctule (Nyctalus lasiopterus)? They are much larger bats which have been found to include birds as part of their diet. What is the reference for Noctules ( Nyctalus noctula)?
Apparently noctule bats eat migrating birds ! Warblers and robins are part of their diet recent research has shown.
